Level Crossing Removal Project - update

Great to see the latest update on the Lilydale Level Crossing Removal Project that we had the pleasure of working on!

The crossing at Maroondah Highway, Lilydale was removed in November 2021 by building a rail bridge over the road and a new elevated Lilydale Station.

'Wind of Lilydale', an AI data painting by Refik Anadol was installed on the lift shaft at the station and turns real-time weather data from Lilydale into digital artwork.

Last year the Lilydale Line level became crossing free – the first in metropolitan Melbourne.

Design and detailing of sub-floor to accommodate for services and future maintenance

Design and detailing of the floor framing system

Design and detailing of structural wall and roof members to stabilise the structures during transportation and in-situ design forces

Design of floor framing to accommodate loads induced from lifting/sliding of the structures

Lifting assembly design, including lifting lugs and bars

Temporary works.
