ElectraNet Substation now operational
It’s great to see this project reaching completion, and we are very proud to provide engineering services as part of South Australia’s energy future.
The Summerfield BESS substation was successfully energised recently for Enerven and Electranet, officially connecting the facility to the grid ahead of commissioning.
Together, the two new BESS facilities will add 240 MW of battery storage capacity to the network. This follows the recent energisation of the Tepko substation and completion of the associated transmission infrastructure works.
