Master Builders SA Award WINNER | Commercial Building Fit-out over $5M
gama consulting was proud to provide engineering services for this amazing project and redevelopment which took home the award for Commercial Building Fit-out over $5M at the recent Master Builders Awards night.
The project was a challenging fit out of 1970s state heritage listed building. Built over five levels which had been altered many times over 50 years, the internal finishes required a combination of new materials to match the original building. The different components were extraordinary, because the old spaces in the building needed to service many new activities and operations. The Unibar was rebuilt while the existing bar was still in operation. New areas included a theatre, gym, prayer room, restaurant with a commercial kitchen and offices. A new services duct was also carefully installed in an old stairwell. The build required complex scheduling and resource management.
